What is the primary mission of the food cupboard?
MISSION STATEMENT
We are a volunteer ministry that strives to alleviate poverty by providing nutritious food to our neighbors in need, clothing to the community, and safe, affordable housing. We advocate for our clients with referrals to agencies which provide other services as needed.
How many families does the food cupboard serve?
Average monthly totals are over 400 households, 8,000 meals, and 900 people with 280 children.
How is the food cupboard supported?
St. Andrew's Food Cupboard is supported through donations, fundraising, grants, and an affiliation with our local foodbank, Foodlink.
Who works there?
All staff are volunteers.
How can I support the work of St. Andrew's Food Cupboard?
- Personal Donations - Tax-deductible contributions to the food cupboard are welcome for vital food and clothes purchases, building management, equipment and food storage, and basic operating expenses or repairs. Checks can be mailed to our address.
